2023 Beauty Movements We're Embracing
Now that 2023 is in full swing, it's time to leave a few things behind. The beauty industry is finally evolving and accepting more self-love, self-care, inclusivity and diversity. We are starting to see the better side of beauty as new products, brands, and campaigns are embracing these changes.
Representation: More and more brands are becoming inclusive with their products and campaigns. Brands are now more than before embracing our differences and including ranges of shapes, sizes, and shades. We're finally able to see our own beautiful features being represented! What needs more work: Luxury beauty brands are still struggling to adapt to this change in the beauty industry. An increase in inclusivity is seen in their campaigns but is missing from their products. People of color (POC) deserve to have high quality ingredients and products too.
Minimal, Natural Glam: We're ditching the colorful and heavy makeup looks for the minimal, natural glam look this year. The minimal look enhances your natural beauty and is quick and easy to do. The Golden Touch Foundation is perfect for this look. Even though it's a medium coverage foundation, it feels so light and breathable on your skin, making it perfect for everyday wear. What needs more work: The beauty industry still loves to use Photoshop. The flawless, natural glam looks brands promote are not realistic. It's time to trade in Photoshop for real skin.
Skincare: 2022 was a big year for skincare. Taking care of our skin has become a huge priority for many of us. In 2023, we're going to keep investing in good skin health and buying makeup products that work for our skin. What needs more work: The US still allows brands to sell products with toxic ingredients. It's time brands take responsibility and learn more about the ingredients they use and swap them for better ones.
